As a way of returning our mission "Creating smiles by making things" more widely to society, Alife's, Inc. is launching a pro bono development support program for non-profit organizations.
We believe the web production and application development expertise we normally provide for corporate business challenges can create great value for NPOs and public-interest organizations with limited resources. Under this program, we provide our development resources free of charge, or at cost only, to organizations working on social issues.
Eligible organizations are NPOs, general incorporated associations, public-interest incorporated foundations and voluntary groups with a clear commitment to social issues. We plan to select two to three projects per year and support the development of corporate websites, campaign sites, business systems and mobile apps. In principle the work is free of charge; only actual expenses such as server costs are borne by the organization. Project length is two to six months depending on scale, to be agreed in consultation.
To apply, the organization must be working on a social issue (education, welfare, environment, human rights, regional revitalization, etc.), provide fair compensation and working conditions to its officers and staff, and agree to the deliverables being featured as a case study on our website and in our publicity materials.
